Mid week Ladies Barbara Harvey Memorial Tournament was this week and we had a great turnout of 19 players all keen and in pink!.

Ross Harvey very kindly donates bottles of champagne and engraves the glorious Rose Bowl cup he donated 35 years ago in memory of his then wife Barbara Harvey. So since 1989 Ross has been honouring and supporting this wonderful occasion. Thank you Ross.

The winner was Katrina Bamford and runners up Camilla Lornie and Kitty Gemmell with some spot prizes too! See photos below.

The weather was simply awesome and the shared plates were greatly received. Thanks to all who contributed and played.

This Friday 5th from 6pm onwards, come and spend Friday night with some friends. All are welcome and would be lovely to see you. I myself will bring a small cheese plate to share and welcome another offerings.

Teams representing the various provinces play to find the top team in the country for each Masters age grade. Total tournament entry is nearly 400 players. Feleti played in the Auckland 50s team and Grant Waller played in the Auckland 55s team. Feleti’s team was runner-up and our 55s team won the title! Auckland also won the trophy for best performances across all teams.

Congratulations to you all!! and a cute photo!

"MEN AT WORK"

Thank you!

At the Club today were Don MacDonald, Tony Larson, Pat Murray and Mark Boughtwood, busily cutting down and removing the invasive shrubbery and privet from along the northern fence on the bottom bay courts.  They had decided to take it on themselves to clear the fence line to open it up and provide more natural light onto the courts.
Well done to them - fantastic club spirit.
